[JPL] PLAYLIST: "General Eclectic", WCVF-FM, 12/1/06

The fun began an hour before "GE" today, as we ran the Buddy Guy syndicated
special, and were flooded with phone calls and emails. Definitely an
exceptionally well-done program. Appropriately, the track that engendered
the most response on the show itself was the previously unreleased Junior
Wells track. Callers LOVED world-music band Atlas Soul as well, plus we got
enthusiastic response from Fred Crabtree's harmonica instrumental, the
60's-style garage band rock of the Heise Brothers, singer-songwriter Dennis
Caraher, Francois Couture's Canadian-roots/techno fusion, smooth jazz by
David Hansen, the Afrobeat of Toby Foyeh, Ithaca's Burns Sisters Band,  the
latest hard-bop-and-out offering by Rashied Ali, and (a nostalgic favorite
for me) neo-traditional singer-songwriter Scott Alarik, who still has a lot
of fans in this area (he used to play here often in the 80's). To the list:
