San Jose is the 3rd largest city in California (behind L.A. and San Diego) and just passed Detroit as the nation's 10th largest city (population about 1 million), and the San Jose/Oakland/S.F. metro area is the 4th largest in the country (population about 6.6 million). KSJS broadcasts to the greater San Jose metropolitan area at 1.5 kwatts, and our signal covers the vast majority of the Bay area's listeners. KSJS programs 23 hours per week of jazz (including world and blues), with regular DJs:
Kevin Ariente, Tuesdays, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Karen Gentile, Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Ramon Johnson, Fridays, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Mike Schwartz, Sundays 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Brad Stone, Mondays, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

and guest DJs Andres Quintero, Steve Metzger, Kareem Guilbeaux, Carlos Torres, Paul Kauppila and others amongst the KSJS staff.

In addition to JazzWeek, we report to CMJ Jazz, CMJ New World and Living Blues.
