[JPL] Jazz Port Townsend broadcasts on KPLU

Jazz Port Townsend was last weekend and virtually all the 1200 seat
mainstage shows in McCurdy Pavilion were sold out and the clubs were 
filled to capacity each night after the concerts as well.

I recorded all seven mainstage concerts and 3 nights in clubs -  a lot 
of
material for upcoming Jazz Northwest shows, starting Sunday at 1pm 
(PDT) with Houston Person Trio with amazing Japanese organist Atsuko
Hashimoto discovered by drummer Jeff Hamilton.  They've recorded a CD 
which will be issued early next year.

Future broadcasts will include The Banda Brothers, Joe Locke Quintet,
Roberta Gambarini, Lynne Arriale Trio, Gerald Wilson and the Festival 
Big Band, Roy Hargrove Quintet and the Alma College Percussion Ensemble 
  (30 members!)

Jazz Northwest is a show I record and produce exclusively for KPLU, 
which is heard all over Western Washington and world wide via 
www.kplu.org    Jazz Northwest is also available as a podcast for a 
week after the airdate when the program consists of location recordings 
I've produced.
