[JPL] Alvin Batiste RIP

alvin batiste was an amazing musician and human being.  a warm spirit.  check 
his work on henry butler's The Village. he was revered by all who knew him.
 
less known is the influence he had on john coltrane's soprano playing.  his 
influence as a teacher and mentor is epic and we are blessed to have so many of 
his proteges making fine music.
