Many thanks Blaise,

I really appreciate your honesty.

I'm trying to get fusion musicians to pay a little more attention to
'composition' so that, while playing like Kevin's can be appreciated by the
scattered fusion fan, it might also attract a wider fan base if it had what
the original fusion pioneers had - good songs.

I mentioned some time ago that the latest and greatest fusion offerings such
as "Improvision" and "Uncle Moe's Space Ranch", while loved by fusion fans,
will not do much to garner new fans as they are missing that compositional
element.

At least that's the way I see it.

Thanks again,

P.S. The new Mitchel Forman Cd "Metro Express" (scheduled for shipping
November 29th) is a great example of good composing 'with an attitude' that
might encompass fans of jazz, fusion, and even some of those smooth jazz
fans...

P.P.S. For those not familiar with Mitchel and Chuck (Loeb's) Metro project,
I've finally found 4 of their cd's in the cut out bin at Amoeba records and
discovered that I've been missing out on some really great music. Metro is a
great project and they certainly have good songs with plenty of style.

Anyone interested in the new Cd can contact Mitch at:

Please mention my name...
