I had the pleasure of meeting Dafnis and seeing him play on what was
probably his first visit to North America in 1997 when he toured Canada
with pianist Marilyn Lerner.  Yosvanny Terry was part of that band too.
I organized that tour, coast to coast, and the band included Jane Bunnett,
Keiran Overs and Juan Oliva Sanchez (Long John - now departed).

That was in support of Marilyn's recording Birds Are Returning, recorded
at Egrem in Havana.  Maybe Dafnis' and Yosvanny's first time on a North
American artist's recording.  Still available somewhere.

Then Dafnis hooked up with Bunnett for subsequent Canadian tours.
