[JPL] 1957 /JAH anniversary celebration

Thanks to Tom Marcello, Ed Bride, Susan Reeves, Marvin Thomas, and 
quite a few listeners here and abroad who've offered suggestions for 
jazz albums from 1957 for this weekend's celebration of my 50th year on 
the air and the start of my 24th year of Jazz After Hours on PRI.  As 
Marvin said "Keep at it and it might turn into a REAL job."

I've been reminded of some additional titles to the list I've been 
keeping because I think 1957 was one of the top years of jazz 
recording... not just a lot of albums, but a lot of GREAT albums, by 
GREAT performers from Hawkins to Coltrane, from Louis to Diz, Billie, 
Ella, Sarah, Basie & Duke.

I'm about half-way through programming the two seven-hour programs this 
weekend, and I'm having a ball!  I'll post the playlist when I'm done, 
and you can listen in this weekend on any of the streaming stations 
listed on our website.
