Of course, I was only 6 yo in 1957, so it helpzz that I've some
research skills. So here'zz some suggested additionzz 4 yer 50TH "JAH"
Anniversary Extravaganza: Shelly Manne & Andre Previn released "My
Fair Lady"; Ray Charles offered up his 1ST LP; J.J. Johnson's,
"Lament" came out; as did, The John Lewis/MJQ'zz, "No Sun In Venice",
& Monk'zz, "Brilliant Corners" (Leonard Feather's "1960 Encyclopedia
Of Jazz" [Da Capo]). Further, "Recordings having two stereo channels
also compatible with mono players are offered for sale in  August
1957". "West Side Story" is produced (a few notable tunes there
somewhere); Harry Belafonte records "Jamaica Farewell" & "Day-O"; "76
Trombones" sound; & "Witchcraft" is heard. ("The Great Song
