I wish I could offer a solution for the larger issue here, that of the 
non-artists infringing on space that is designated for artists.  However 
there is a remedy in a pre-fab iso booth.  Musicians facing this problem 
might check out

Again, I do not mean to imply that David Shnitter or anyone else in his 
situation should have to go to this extra expense.  I am outraged by 
what has been happening on several fronts regarding living space in 
Manhattan and other major cities.  However, something like this could 
save a musician a lot of trouble.
