Ahhh, 1957  -  when records were RECORDS!

Here's the complete playlist for this weekend, marking the year I  
started in radio by featuring
only records that were recorded or released in 1957. (the dates in  
most cases are CD reissue
dates and present copyright holder)  This playlist will be on our  
website Friday night.

It really was an exceptional year for jazz records as you'll see below.
All those Blue Notes, Prestige, Verve, Contemporary, Pacific Jazz,  
Atlantic, Columbia...
it was fun doing this show!

As previously mentioned, it's also the beginning of my 24th year of  
Jazz After Hours on PRI.
